The Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre (JCBC) is a state of the art research facility located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The JCBC houses up to 1000 staff and visitors across three different Department/Institutes.
The JCBC Building Services Team (BST) is looking for a proactive and attentive full-time Senior Receptionist to join their team. The post-holder will be a key member of the BST and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the front-of-house reception area and have experience in providing professional reception and administrative support to groups and visitors to the building.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome staff, visitors and contractors and manage access accordingly.
- To manage telephone calls, emails, taxi bookings and room booking requests.
- To supervise one receptionist, give training and guidance as appropriate.
- Carry out administrative and clerical tasks, including cross-charging of invoices.
- Work with all departments in the JCBC to ensure data and security access is accurate.
Key requirements:
- Reception or customer service experience, in a senior capacity.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and work unsupervised.
This role is permanent, and full time with flexibility around core hours. It is office-based at the JCBC.
