This is a continuation of a multi-method, longitudinal study of tobacco and cannabis exposed children and their mothers recruited in the 1st trimester of pregnancy. The current phase of the study will examine adolescent's social and emotional growth, health experiences and health habits, the parent child relationship, the development of social skills and peer networks, and the ways that children's environment influence these aspects of development. Assessments will take place with families in early, middle and late adolescence.
- Participant Contact: Participant Contact involves tracking participants and scheduling appointments.
- Data Collection: Data collection involves conducting assessments with participating families.
- Assessments: Assessments involve interviewing adolescents and their parents on sensitive topics, including substance use, collecting heart rate data and hair samples, and video-recording family interactions.
- Other administrative tasks including checking data and assisting with administrative tasks such as project mailings, photocopying, maintaining the project database, and coding observational assessments.
Incumbent receives general direction for most activities. Incumbent receives more direct supervision when experimental or unusual processes are involved, and is expected to consult with their supervisor or Project Director as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or two years formal training in Psychology or related field and minimum of six months experience conducting research in social sciences required.
Experience working with families is also required.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and strong written and verbal communication skills are integral to the position.
Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings and weekends required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
Previous experience following research protocols and establishing rapport with varying populations.
Substantive interest in child development and family health is highly desirable.
Experience with Lotus Notes databases, Microsoft Word, and EndNote.
