Key responsibilities will include
- Coordinate the processing, labelling and storage of human biological samples (including blood, PBMC, serum and DNA) to support clinical trials and biobank operations, ensuring accuracy of records and databases.
- Provide high-level technical research support, including preparing samples, conducting complex experiments, and applying specialist techniques in human immunology.
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring facilities, infrastructure and protocols operate safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to research delivery through documentation, data entry, analysis and presentation, including drafting protocols, supporting reports, and assisting with the administration of research activities.
About You
- A degree qualification in life sciences (or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience), with a strong foundation in laboratory-based research.
- Demonstrated experience in handling human biological samples, including PBMC, serum and DNA, within a clinical or research setting.
- Proven practical expertise in immunology techniques and sample processing, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary research team.
- Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to managing workflows, data and laboratory processes.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support research documentation, reporting and presentations.
