Senior Research Program Manager

About the Lab

The Free Systems Lab at Stanford is dedicated to preserving liberty in an algorithmic world. Housed jointly at the Graduate School of Business and the Hoover Institution and led by Professor Andrew Hall, the lab produces original research, builds working prototypes, publishes a widely read public newsletter, and convenes policymakers, technologists, and scholars around the problems that will define AI governance for the next decade. The lab's ambition is not just to study how AI reshapes power but to change how the companies building these systems actually operate -- through rigorous research that frontier AI labs, platforms, and policymakers cannot ignore.
