Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support the University's strategic goals. Working within agile development teams, you will contribute to software architecture, deployment, testing, and documentation. You will also mentor junior developers and help shape best practices across the team.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will be an experienced software developer with at least 7 years' commercial experience, and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. You will also have:

  • Proficiency in Python and/or C#,
  • An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Experience building backends for web-based applications using modern frameworks
  • Familiarity with API design and integration patterns
  • Proficiency in unit and end-to-end testing frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based development
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write technical documentation

You will be part of the Digital Services team, reporting to the Development Manager and working closely with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders across the University. You'll contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative environment that supports UC's mission.
