Senior Software Engineer
Job Description:
- Lead enterprise‑scale digital transformation by shaping solution designs, modern SDLC practices, and innovative application architectures.
- Make a lasting impact through technical leadership by mentoring developers, influencing best practice across Agile and DevOps delivery.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis until December 2026.
- Base salary range: $116,262 – $127,078 p.a. plus 17% superannuation
About the area
UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.
Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.
About the opportunity
- Provide leadership and technical direction on solution designs, software design patterns and best practice
- Design, develop, implement and maintain new and existing web-based and client/server applications
- Apply fixes and upgrades to applications and provide enhancements to systems as per user requirements
About you
- Deep understanding of modern SDLC practices such as Agile and DevOps
- Substantial relevant experience with developing, implementing, integrating, repairing and maintaining application systems
- Demonstrable experience in leading the design of enterprise-grade solutions
- Substantial relevant experience with the following technologies: Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle ORDS, Microsoft SSRS, SourceTree, HTML, CSS, JSON, REST API.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Javascript experience is desirable.
