Do you have the technical expertise to support drama, theatre and performance in a specialist teaching environment?
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Technician to provide specialist technical support across drama, theatre and performing arts activity. Working as part of a technical support team, you’ll help deliver high-quality teaching and research support, manage specialist facilities and equipment, and ensure students, staff and visitors can work safely and effectively in studios and theatre spaces.
As Senior Technician you can expect to be involved in:
- Providing specialist technical support across drama, theatre and performing arts activities
- Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting complex technical equipment, including audio-visual, lighting and sound systems
- Managing specialist facilities such as drama studios and theatres, ensuring safe and effective use
- Delivering inductions, training and demonstrations to students, staff and external stakeholders
What will you bring to the role?
- Practical experience in a technical support role, with specialist knowledge of drama, theatre or performing arts
- Experience managing technical facilities and supporting live performance production processes
- Expertise in theatre production technologies, including audio-visual, lighting and sound
- Strong health and safety knowledge, troubleshooting skills and experience coaching or training others
