Summary
Leads transfer student recruitment, outreach and enrollment efforts that contribute to meeting the university’s strategic enrollment objectives
Essential Job Functions
- Reviews and evaluates transfer applications, including academic transcripts and supporting materials to render admission decisions
- Serves as the primary resource for prospective transfer students, delivering personalized advising on admissions requirements, transfer credit evaluation, academic pathways and the enrollment process
- Represents the university at transfer fairs, on and off campus recruitment events and virtual programming
- Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with community colleges, four-year institutions, academic advisors and community-based organizations to support transfer recruitment and enrollment
- Provides guidance on the transfer credit evaluation process in collaboration with other academic departments and university offices
- Collaborates with the university marketing team to develop targeted messaging for prospective transfer students
- Participates in related professional development organizations representing the university
- Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in transfer admissions, recruitment management or other related experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, marketing or a related field of study
- Experience with Slate CRM and the college transfer process
