Salary: UOM 10 - $153,412 p.a. plus 17% super

About the role

As a Service Improvement Technical Specialist, you will drive strategic business improvements, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence across the university. You will support the Associate Director in leading continuous improvement initiatives, providing expert guidance and coaching to senior leaders and staff. This role offers the opportunity to implement advanced service and process improvement methodologies, ensuring long-lasting impact and value.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive Business Improvement Capability: Lead the development and implementation of advanced business, service, and process improvement methodologies. Provide expert guidance and coaching to senior leaders and staff across the university, ensuring the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance Financial Reporting and Processes: Continuously improve financial reporting frameworks and processes to ensure accurate and timely information is available to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and Deliver Training: Design, develop, and deliver tailored training programs in business improvement methodologies to enhance university-wide capability, equipping staff with the knowledge and skills to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a Culture of Excellence: Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing environment by mentoring, coaching, and empowering staff to develop business improvement skills and contribute to university initiatives.

Who we are looking for

You will be an experienced service improvement professional with a passion for innovation, capable of leading strategic initiatives and fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment to drive excellence within the university.

You will also:

  • Possess qualifications in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or related fields.
  • Have extensive experience in service, process, and business improvement.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset with empathy, curiosity, and resilience.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
