Who are we looking for?

The School of Architecture and Built Environment includes the disciplines of Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, and Urban and Regional Planning. The School is one of four schools in the Faculty of Engineering and offers bachelor degrees in Built Environment and Architecture Design and postgraduate courses in Project Management and Architecture, as well as research masters and PhDs.

The School of Architecture and Built Environment is looking to establish a pool of sessional academics to aid in the teaching of units across our disciplines.

About the School of Architecture and Built Environment Faculty of Engineering

What do you need to succeed?

• Minimum of a Masters qualification in the relevant discipline, or a lower qualification in the discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience.
• Capability to support student learning through effective teaching, learning feedback, and engagement across face-to-face, online, or blended learning environments.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage learning activities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to professional and academic integrity, including adherence to QUT policies and assessment standards.
• Willingness to undertake an induction to QUT and complete mandatory online training as required for all staff at QUT.
