Who are we looking for?
QUT College is looking to establish a pool of Sessional Academics who can support the teaching program across a range of Diploma programs in areas that include:
- Architectural Studies
- Engineering
- Information Technology
- Health Studies
- Business
- Creative Industries
- Academic Communication
The position requires you to prepare and conduct tutorials, consult with students, undertake assessment and attend meetings as required by the unit coordinator.
About the QUT College Education Portfolio, Academic Division
QUT College delivers a range of programs to international and domestic students with an emphasis on pathways to QUT faculty programs. Through its two suites of programs, English Language and University Entry Programs students are able to meet entry requirements for university degree programs, as well as to improve their skills and confidence in readiness for university study.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Relevant industry experience
- Experience of teaching and assessing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to facilitate and moderate group discussion related to weekly content and case studies, and facilitate skills development
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- Willingness to undertake an induction to QUT and complete mandatory on-line training as required for all staff at QUT
