Responsibilities

• HIV Testing/Counseling.
• Provide confidential HIV testing for the student population.
• Provide one on one confidential safer sex education to students during HIV appointments.
• Maintain HIV Clinic physical space, logs, and other clinic administrative tasks.
• Sexual Health Education.
• Assist the Sexual Health team with initiatives including outreach, presentations, and other events.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate student enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Florida State University.

• Experience and/or formal education in the fields of medicine, sexual health, public health, counseling, sociology, social work, or related fields.

Considerations

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check.

This position requires pre-employment TB testing and successful completion of post hire OSHA training.

Upon hire, must complete the Florida Department of Health HIV/AIDS 500/501 Pre and Post Test Counseling Course, and the Florida Department of Health Clearview Complete HIV rapid testing training (Provided free through the FDOH).

Schedule: 10 hours a week with some nights and weekends required.
