Salary for Announcement
The Hourly Rate for this temporary position is $19.29/hour.
Position Summary
As a simulated participant (SP) you will be highly trained to portray all the characteristics of a real patient, a patients loved one, or a member of the care team, in realistic and repeatable ways. You will interact with learners in experiential education to provide an opportunity for students to learn and be evaluated.
Simulated Participants provide valuable opportunities for learners to practice skills in a safe environment that is both safe and supportive of the learning process. You must take the role seriously as you are impacting patient care through education.
To become an SP, candidates are required to be comfortable dealing with care teams, have a good memory, excellent listening skills, concentration during simulation scenarios, and accept constructive feedback. A qualified candidate is nonjudgmental regarding student and faculty gender, race, religion, national origin, physical characteristics, etc. Reliability and punctuality are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- General computer skills
- Previous experience in a fast-paced work environment where you are comfortable receiving and integrating directions/orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an SP, theater, and/or healthcare
Work Hours
This position is an In-Person position with variable schedules.
