Soc/Clin Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will collaborate with Dr. Cathi Propper’s investigative team, including the Project Director and research staff, to support social and educational research initiatives with participants who have English and Spanish as their primary language. Primary responsibilities include data collection, reviewing data for quality control and data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct classroom observations in participating schools and code observational data
• Build and maintain relationships with school teachers and administrators
• Administer age-appropriate assessments to child participants in both school and home settings
• Schedule and conduct home visits with study participants in English and Spanish, including administering questionnaires to caregivers
• Process and prepare research data for analysis
• Regular communication with fellow research team members regarding data collection
• Maintain the quality of the data collected and promptly report problems or complications to supervisors
• Follow all IRB-approved protocols for data collection
• Support the dissemination of research findings
• Attend additional training or meetings, and participate in basic project planning as assigned by the supervisor
