Our mission is to provide a professional, cost-effective estates management service that ensures the University's academic and research endeavours proceed safely and efficiently. We aim to cultivate an environment that instils pride in our community, fostering sustainable learning activities for all. Responsibilities of the department include managing the estates strategy, property maintenance, property management, facilities management, and health, safety, and environmental oversight.
About the role
The Space Planner will make a visible impact on the University’s estate, facilities and user experience by contributing to the development of our buildings and external environments. The role holder will survey and analyse existing spaces, develop options for stakeholder consideration, and update our master record drawings of our land and buildings, which are essential for statutory compliance and reporting. The role holder will also work on our sensors and other systems for understanding space utilisation. The role holder will work closely with academic, technical and professional services colleagues across the University.
