role is responsible for providing advanced support to the department’s data governance, knowledge management, and records management and archives activities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Supports the college’s data governance program and contributes to the development of data standards, policies, definitions, and stewardship practices ⦁ Provides administrative and technical support for departmental projects and initiatives, such as project management, scheduling meetings, communicating with stakeholders, conducting research, and preparing summaries and reports to support decision-making ⦁ Collaborates with IT, data stewards, and business stakeholders to implement data standards and improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency ⦁ Assists with management of the knowledge base by reviewing submitted articles, ensuring standardization, auditing current articles, soliciting new articles, and maintaining metadata ⦁ Promotes the use and adoption of data governance and records management best practices through communication, training, and outreach activities ⦁ Assists with Archives activities, including processing, preservation, digitization, and promotion of archival records and special collections, and maintains related inventories, metadata, finding aids, and descriptive documentation Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College Supervision Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader *Performs Other Related Tasks as Required The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Required Minimum Qualifications: ⦁ Bachelor’s degree and one (1) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Preferred Qualifications: ⦁ Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Library/Information Science or similar fields ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience with metadata schemas, ontologies, and digital stewardship tools ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or other data governance, data management, information management certifications ⦁ Records Management Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ⦁ Knowledge of information management (data governance, records management) best practices ⦁ Knowledge of project management principles ⦁ Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills ⦁ Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform ⦁ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization ⦁ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders ⦁ Ability to identify routine issues and escalate non-standard problems using established procedures in a fast-paced work environment ⦁ Ability to review basic information and follow policies, procedures, and guidelines when completing assigned tasks ⦁ Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectively with faculty and staff to support campus and departmental operations ⦁ Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
