Primary Duties:

Strategic Research & Information Management

  • Conduct research and prepare detailed donor briefings in collaboration with the prospect management team, focusing on leadership-level donors.
  • Synthesize complex donor and prospect data into concise, actionable reports for university and hospital leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of donor interests, philanthropic trends, and institutional priorities to support strategic fundraising efforts.

Leadership Prospect & Operational Portfolio Management

  • Coordinate and manage the internal review process for philanthropic proposals.
  • Maintain accurate donor and gift records, tracking engagement milestones, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Facilitate coordinated donor outreach by maintaining centralized tracking of key donor interactions and next steps.
  • Support donor pipeline tracking and identify key trends in leadership-level prospects.

Leadership Reporting & Analysis

  • Pull and analyze donor data to support strategic decision-making and leadership reporting.
  • Use data visualization tools and presentation materials to communicate trends and insights effectively.
  • Compile and organize briefings, reports, and materials to prepare leadership for meetings and engagements.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Track deliverables and coordinate follow-ups to ensure meeting objectives are achieved.
  • Manage special projects from initiation to completion, providing research and analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Maintain leadership task lists and priorities, ensuring timely follow-through and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Refine and tailor executive-level summaries and key takeaways to equip leadership with concise, strategic information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Two (2) years' experience in professional environment, preferably higher education or not-for-profit, working with data entry and databases. Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and donor reporting techniques.
  • Understanding of best practices in major gifts fundraising and donor stewardship.
  • Experience with donor database systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proficiency in donor databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.

Hiring Range: $61,000 - $65,000, Commensurate with education and experience
