The Public Safety Technology Specialist is a vital member of the Campus Police Department, responsible for ensuring the operational reliability and effectiveness of the College's security technology systems. This role oversees the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of critical systems, including fire alarms, video surveillance, access control, key management, and communication platforms.

Working collaboratively with Information Technology Services (ITS) and Facilities, the Specialist manages projects, coordinates vendor activities, and implements system improvements that support campus safety and law enforcement operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining a secure learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Education Required:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Electronic Control Systems, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution or a commensurate level of field experience with training will be considered.

Experience Required:

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical support for fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, or related security technologies

Experience managing commercial key management systems

One or more years of experience managing a building card access system.

Experience with fire alarm systems

Experience with security systems
