Offer Description
🔬 1. Molecular Geneticist / Bioinformatics Analyst
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Bioinformatics
- Experience with NGS data analysis (particularly for carrier screening and embryo testing)
- Strong command of variant annotation, ACMG classification, and Class 3 variant interpretation
- Proficiency in Python, R, Bash, and genetic data analysis tools
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sequencing data
- Perform annotation, pathogenicity scoring, and clinical report generation
- Support optimization and validation of AI-based variant prioritization software
- Manage and interpret population-level screening datasets
🧬 2. Functional Genomics Specialist
Qualifications:
- PhD in Cell Biology, Genetics, or Translational Medicine
- Hands-on experience with stem cell culture (preferably mesenchymal), gene editing (CRISPR), or organoid systems
- Proficiency in applying RNA-Seq and proteomics/metabolomics to cellular models
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional pathogenicity testing for uncertain variants (Class 3/VUS)
- Develop and maintain in vitro stem cell-based disease models
- Evaluate gene correction outcomes via omics platforms
- Contribute to the design of gene- and cell-based treatment strategies for rare diseases
🧫 3. Omics Data Scientist (Transcriptomics / Proteomics / Metabolomics)
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Systems Biology, or related field
- Experience in generating and analyzing omics datasets (RNA-seq, LC-MS/MS, etc.)
- Knowledge of pathway analysis and integrative data interpretation
Responsibilities:
- Perform multi-omics analyses on biological samples from rare disease patients
- Assess transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolic effects of genetic variants
- Correlate molecular findings with clinical phenotypes
- Support biomarker discovery and precision medicine efforts
🧾 4. Clinical Genetics Reporting & Education Officer
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Clinical Genetics, Medical Biology, or Health Sciences
- Experience in preparing patient-friendly genetic reports and communication materials
- Background in educational content development for clinical/health professionals
Responsibilities:
- Generate simplified, visual, and animation-based genetic test reports
- Develop educational modules for public health workers, NGOs, and patients
- Provide training and awareness materials on reproductive genetics technologies
- Collect feedback from stakeholders to refine reporting formats
🧠 5. Project Coordinator / Scientific Program Manager
Qualifications:
- BSc/BA and preferably MSc in Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Health Management
- Proven track record in national/international research project management (e.g. Eurostars, TÜBİTAK 1515, 1501)
- Strong communication and organizational skills in interdisciplinary settings
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the translational R&D laboratory
- Oversee budgeting, ethical approvals, reporting, and project timelines
- Coordinate with clinical partners and research networks (e.g. ERDERA)
- Facilitate integration between research and clinical application streams
