This is a part-time role for 2 days per week (0.4 FTE). We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team at The University of Salford’s Sports Centre. Reporting to the Head of Sport, you will be responsible for carrying out Swimming Pool Lifeguard duties and setting up for various sports activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out Swimming Pool Lifeguard duties for the health and safety of facility users and staff (NPLQ Qualification required).
• Administering first aid.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Assisting in the development, promotion, and organization of events and activities at University Sports facilities.
• Setting up and dismantling equipment for events and activities.

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential. If you do not hold one but meet the swimming requirements, training may be arranged.

The Sports Centre features a 25-metre swimming pool with sauna and spa, fitness suites, squash courts, a fitness studio, and a 6-court sports hall.
