Operations Administrator

About the Role

This role provides essential administrative support to Barts Cancer Institute within the Faculty, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of key processes. Working closely with and under the guidance of the Operations Officer, the post holder will be responsible for the practical execution of administrative tasks related to finance and HR, directly contributing to the smooth functioning of the Schools/ Institutes. A key aspect of this role will be to work collaboratively with colleagues across faculty and central teams to ensure the seamless delivery of administrative support.

About You

Essential requirements for this post include significant administrative experience, including accounts administration as well as the ability to priorities a varied workload and meet deadlines, is essential. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good attention to detail are also essential. Previous experience in a research/clinical trial environment would be an advantage.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The School is located within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry which comprises of six Institutes that deliver the research and education activity of the Faculty. The Faculty has a wide range of key interactions with partner organisations, including with overseas partners, other Government departments, research and education networks, funders and regulators. The role sits within the Professional Services job family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues across a wide range of responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission.
