The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 450 student-athletes. Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics, seeks applications to fill two Sport Program Associate vacancies in the Football program, Recruiting Operations. These are full-time positions, with a comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidates will be appointed to the role of Director of Scouting or Director of Recruiting Strategy depending on their experience and qualifications. The Director of Scouting will lead the identification and evaluation efforts of high school players. The Director of Recruiting Strategy will oversee and execute the strategy for all recruiting communication.
The position requires some evening and weekend hours and travel with the team.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for all aspects of any of the following functions within a sport program:
• Recruiting Associates (supports recruiting activities through scouting, planning and coordination of official visits)
• Identify program needs and implement program improvements.
• Collaborate with staff to perform administrative tasks in line with program and departmental goals. Serve as ambassador of the program and look for opportunities to connect the program to the community and business partners.
• May be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

• Must be able to pass and maintain NCAA recruiting certification if required by sport program.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required Experience

Previous experience as a coach or collegiate player or work in an athletic department setting.
