Responsibilities
This role serves as the Senior Academic Program Specialist to the Physics department, coordinating all administrative aspects of the graduate program.
- Processing and coordinating recruitment, advising, and admissions, monitoring student academic progress, and management of student data.
- Supervising the Undergraduate Program Coordinator, including training opportunities, and annual evaluations.
- Serving as primary point of contact for student affairs in the Physics Department.
- Working with Associate Chair to create and build the department’s course schedule. Tracking enrollment and adjusting enrollment and major caps as needed.
- Collecting graduate student appointment information and assisting HR to process graduate student job offer/appointment.
The Senior Academic Program Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of the Department of Physics. By serving in this position, you will contribute directly to the success of the academic teaching and research efforts at Florida State University!
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated starting salary for this position will be in the low $50,000s, commensurate with experience and education.
