The University of South Florida, a member of the American Athletic Conference, is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Graphic Designer. The position will be housed in the athletics external services department, reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Creative & Brand Strategy. The selected candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment to deliver creative video assets for assigned sports. Position will oversee other branding & design staff to advance and maintain brand identity through original and creative content. Candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment to advance the brand of South Florida Athletics and the university.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Creative & Brand Strategy, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and assist with art direction of both print and electronic communications of South Florida Athletics, and assists in the ideation and creation of multimedia content that enhances the visual brand of the South Florida Athletic Department. This position will lead the design team and efforts related to graphic elements inclusive of print, digital and social media for assigned sports with an emphasis on helping South Florida Athletics achieve its goals of generating excitement towards the Bulls and help with revenue generation opportunities. The position works closely with coaches, athletes, and other staff members throughout the athletic department to ensure that branding & design content aligns with the department's branding and marketing goals. Additionally, the role will provide oversight of the internship program while staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in design & branding. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. May be required to work non-traditional work hours in the evenings and/or weekends as assigned. Responsibilities
- Establishes, oversees and develops projects from concept to delivery, including but not limited to: game day programs, media guides, brochures, billboards, advertising materials, posters, murals, banners, and other material for digital and social media. Executes a consistent visual identity through all design work for the department as well as ensure compliance with University Brand Standards.
