The Senior Director, Accreditation, Compliance, and Accountability, provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for institutional and programmatic accreditation, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide accountability initiatives. This role ensures UMGC meets and exceeds accreditation, authorization, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making across the institution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for institutional accreditation processes, standards alignment, and long-term planning.
- Oversee development, implementation, and continuous refinement of accreditation-related policies and procedures.
- Direct preparation, submission, and quality assurance of all accreditation reports, documentation, and compliance attestations.
- Lead institutional readiness and logistics for accreditation reviews, evaluations, and site visits.
- Partner with academic and administrative leaders to guide programmatic accreditation strategies and ensure alignment with institutional standards.
- Oversee state authorization compliance, reporting processes, and strategic expansion planning.
- Lead regulatory compliance initiatives, risk mitigation practices, and institutional accountability frameworks.
- Supervise and mentor staff engaged in accreditation, compliance, and reporting functions.
- Collaborate with senior university leadership to support governance, transparency, and continuous improvement efforts.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Doctoral Degree preferred.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in accreditation, compliance, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in higher education and managing complex institutional initiatives.
Certifications:
None required.

Hiring Range:
$151,000.00 - $161,000.00
