Staff Associate II (Data Analyst)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A full-time Staff Associate (Data Analyst II) for Molecular Medicine Learning Healthcare Program is needed to work under limited supervision of the Principal Investigators. Candidate will work with the research team to extract data elements from various sources, clean and develop data systems, perform statistical analyses including analysis using longitudinal data, propensity score and other comorbidity adjustment methods, latent variable analyses, advanced regression techniques including multilevel modeling and survival methods. The candidate will also interpret study results, prepare reports for publication, and train and supervise trainees in computer programming and quantitative skills. Examples of types of projects involve linking and analyzing clinical data from the Epic EHR to genetic, genomic, proteomic and/or metabolomic data from hospitalized children; developing predictive algorithms for in-hospital events; investigating patterns and quality of care for hospitalized children.

- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical informatics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, or Statistics plus 2-3 years experience. Master’s or Doctoral degree in related field could substitute for experience.
- Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases and data modeling.
- Clear demonstration of technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
- Prior experience with Epic Clarity data models, or other clinical data systems.
- Python, R, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Stata or similar software for statistical analysis and data science.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot independently, and a sense of mission and purpose.
Preferred Criteria:
- Proficient in SQL and database modeling.
- Prior experience in clinical, public health, health services research.
- Experience with healthcare data.
- Experience with data visualization – Power BI.
- Epic Module Certification (Cogito) obtained within six months of employment.
Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
