Staff Research Associate 1
Department Summary / Position Summary
Under the direction of the principal investigators, Sarah Choi, PhD, RN, FNP and Dr. Yeonsu Song, PhD, RN, FNP the Staff Research Associate 1 will have the following professional responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment of study subjects and research procedure scheduling (example: scheduling for meetings with community partner and research subjects).
- Conduct screening for potential study participants according to the study protocols.
- Provide reports and summaries on subject enrollment.
- Communicate with staff at the subject recruitment sites for eligible study participants.
- Assist with data entry.
Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of research study logistics including human subject recruitment and retention for research. (Required)
- Knowledge of medical terminology. (Preferred)
- Demonstrated computer skills/abilities: excellent word-processing skills (Required)
- Willingness to learn to support study procedures. (Required)
- Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. (Required)
- Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to travel to the study site in Orange County. Ability to work in the research office at UCLA for all project related work (No remote work) (Required)
- Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli. (Required)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with others with completeness and organization. (Required)
- Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and type in Korean language. (Required)
- Ability to work and solve problems with minimal supervision. (Required)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Use of discretion in confidential matters. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field (Preferred)
Special Conditions for Employment
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
