Staff Therapist II
Primary Purpose:
A licensed professional in a psychology related field responsible for providing mental health services that reduce barriers and create opportunities for greater academic achievement and student success.
This is a full-time, in-person position in the Stockton office.
Essential Functions:
- Provides group, individual, couples therapy, and psychoeducational workshops to a culturally diverse college student body in accordance with the university statement on diversity and inclusion.
- Consults with faculty, staff, and students regarding student concerns and participates in university-wide committees.
- Keeps accurate and timely electronic records on all contacts with clients.
- Maintains compliance with ethical standards in the execution of services in accordance with the American Psychological Association, university policies, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Positive attitude, proven to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Participates in staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Represents CAPS at campus events including outreach presentations and orientation sessions.
- Attends professional development opportunities.
- Maintains licensure status with the appropriate California board.
- Other duties as assigned.
