Position Description
Incumbents in this non-benefits position are trained to portray specific sets of health problems and symptoms that will aide students in learning the proper techniques and procedures for taking medical histories, performing medical examinations, determining diagnoses and learning the appropriate way to educate and inform patients of diagnoses.

Major/Essential Functions
- Performing a variety of duties in order to accurately and consistently portray specific types of symptoms as defined by a patient case. This may include memorizing the history of their present illness, past medical history, physical exam results as well as demonstrating appropriate body language, emotional status, and personality characteristics.
- Simulate a variety of clinical scenarios including a patient's appearance, demeanor and affect, communication style, chief complaint, symptomatology, patient medical history, and physical finding.
- Demonstrate interviewing skills with students of the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, or other students utilizing the simulation center.
- Instruct and practice interviewing and some superficial physical assessment skills with medical students.
- Give feedback after interviewing the student.
- Evaluate and assess the student's skills.
- Deliver feedback in person verbally, written, or electronical

Schedule Details
Availability to work a 4 hour block (8:00am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm - 5:00pm) at least 2 days per week

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a simulation environment.
- Experience using institutional systems, managing passwords, and communicating through Outlook email.
- Experience working with Word and PDF documents, accessing learning platforms, and using smartphone applications for secure access and two-factor authentication.
