The Division of Pediatric Urology in the Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) to join the Division as Associate Professor or Professor in the University Medical Line or University Tenure Line. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an established track record of clinical excellence and scholarship in basic, translational, and/or clinical research related to pediatric urology.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have a track record of extramural funding, in addition to regionally or nationally recognized scholarship, service to national organizations, and clinical expertise in pediatric urology. We expect the successful candidate to develop a clinical practice focused on pediatric urology at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, which may include San Francisco Bay Area outreach sites. In addition, we expect the candidate to develop a robust research program with the potential for extramural funding support.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Stanford also welcomes applications from others who would bring additional dimensions to the University’s research, teaching and clinical missions.

The university’s central functions of research and education depend on freedom of thought, and expression. The Department of Urology, School of Medicine, and Stanford University value faculty who will help foster an open and respectful academic environment for colleagues, students, and staff with a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and perspectives. Candidates may choose to include as part of their research and teaching statements a brief discussion about how their work and experience will further these values.

Interested candidates should submit their CV and a brief cover letter by clicking the "Apply Now" button. For questions, please contact Dana Nelson at dana.nelson@stanford.edu.
