As the STEAM Coordinator (Deaf/deaf/Hard of Hearing Programs), you'll play a pivotal role in advancing STEAM education for Deaf/deaf and hard of hearing students. Collaborating with renowned institutions like Science Gallery Melbourne and Buxton Contemporary, you'll coordinate bespoke learning programs, facilitate workshops, and foster connections with schools and communities. This role offers you the chance to contribute to an inclusive learning environment and develop innovative educational resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate Project Delivery: Manage the Maker Project Grant and BSMF Project, ensuring successful implementation and budget administration.
  • Develop Educational Relationships: Establish connections with schools who educate D/d/HoH learners to support curriculum-aligned STEAM learning programs.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Assist in delivering engaging STEAM learning experiences and accessible resources for D/d/HoH students.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work with the Learning Experiences Team and Marketing to engage with the Deaf community and promote events.
You may be a great fit if:
You possess a background in Science, Art, Technology, Engineering, or Education, with experience in coordinating educational projects and engaging with D/d/HoH students in a collaborative team environment.
You may also:
  • Have completed a tertiary degree or diploma in Science, Art, Technology, Engineering, or Education.
  • Have proficiency using Auslan
  • Demonstrate experience in coordinating learning or community projects.
  • Possess strong organisational and problem-solving skills, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Have experience facilitating workshops in educational settings for D/d/HoH students.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively in small teams.
