The University of Greenwich is continuing to strengthen how data & insight support decision-making across the institution, with a focus on improving performance monitoring, planning and reporting.
The Strategic Planning Analyst will play a key role in delivering high-quality analysis and reporting across a range of institutional priorities, including student outcomes, performance monitoring and planning processes.
Duties and responsibilities will typically include working as part of a team to:
- Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends and patterns across strategic datasets, including student continuation, completion and awarding outcomes
- Provide clear insight and recommendations to support decision-making, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for a range of stakeholders, both technical & non-technical
- Contribute to institutional planning and performance processes, including student number planning & KPI monitoring
- Support the implementation of strategic data initiatives through defined analytical deliverables
- Maintain documentation and ensure consistency in reporting & analysis
- Build effective working relationships across the university and contribute to cross-team projects and continuous improvement
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a data, analytics or Business Intelligence role
- Experience producing analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with data to generate insight
Experience of working in higher education or a complex organisation, and experience with tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar, would be advantageous.
