Job Description:

  • Full-time appointment on a fixed term to April 2027.
  • Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Directorate of Student Success and Progression sits within the UWA Education Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Education and Student Experience. Student Success and Progression play an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world-class student experience.

The Directorate has responsibility for critical across the student lifecycle, including Admissions, Enrolments, Fees, Scholarships, Timetabling, Student Advising, Exams and Graduation. Working across the University, the Directorate partners with academic and professional leaders to deliver integrated, student-centred services that support academic success, retention, and progression.

The Student Offices team partners closely with Academic and Professional staff to deliver integrated and student-centred services that support academic success, retention, and progression.

About the opportunity

  • Join UWA’s Division of Student Life and play a key role in delivering a high-quality, student-centred advisory and administrative service that supports students throughout their academic journey.
  • Work collaboratively within the Student Office team to support academic progression, maintain effective systems and processes, and strengthen students’ connection to their school or discipline.
  • Contribute to a world-class student experience by providing accurate advice, resolving complex enquiries, and supporting continuous improvement of student administration services.

About you

  • You have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, with substantial administrative experience in a complex, service-focused environment.
  • You bring highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, accurate and empathetic advice to students and staff.
  • You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • You can work independently with initiative while also contributing positively and productively as part of a collaborative team.
  • You are confident using a range of computing systems and have a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience and customer service.
