Description Summary The student aide will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Academic Deans’ Office. The duties will include general office work, answering phone calls, transferring calls, photocopies, filing, data-entry, assisting students, faculty & staff, and other duties as assigned. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Academic Deans’ Office. • Assist with general office support such as filing, shredding, and copying of confidential documents. •
Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Greet students and guests visiting the office. • Assists with the scheduling of appointments and maintains the calendar for office administrators. • Provide assistance and information to the Academic Deans. • Enter data in Excel spreadsheets and keep files organized. • Assist with the hanging of signs for canceled courses and notify students in a timely manner. • Assist with the student survey process. • Check the Dean’s Office mailbox daily. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, equity, accountability, innovation, and excellence. Preferred Qualifications: • Bi-lingual: English and Spanish. • Customer service experience and strong communication skills. • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast- paced environment. • Dependable and positive attitude. • Ability to work independently.
