The primary purpose of the Student Assistant position is to, under direction, performs and assists with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Ensures that glassware and equipment are kept clean and are properly stored; keeps laboratory clean.
• Prepares stock solutions and buffers.
• Assists with the maintenance of the laboratory facilities, equipment and instruments.
• Initiates inventory control of laboratory supplies, prepares and processes orders for supplies as needed.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• One (1) year of prior laboratory experience.
