Student Assistant, Part Time

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under direction, performs and assists with laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. We use both mammalian cell and mouse models and employ techniques including proteomics/genomics, metabolomics, flow cytometry, biochemical and cell biology techniques.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Assist lab workers as required.
• Organize lab resources and assist in the set up and conducting of experiments as required.
• Handle additional related responsibilities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Individual with experience in the biomedical science field who is currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies at Rutgers University.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Physical Demands: Sitting, standing. No special vision required.
• Work Environment: Laboratory environment.
