Student Assistant
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Neuroscience & Cell Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, provide assistance in studies of dopaminergic signaling in the mouse brain. Perform biological experiments to solve outstanding biomedical problems in the field of neurodegeneration.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Transgenic mouse colony maintenance (breeding and genotyping).
- Mouse behavior analysis.
- Animal perfusion and brain tissue collection / brain sample processing.
- Pathological study for relevant disease markers.
- Maintain detailed lab notebooks of procedures and experiments.
- Data analysis and presentation of laboratory research.
- Assist with maintenance of laboratory.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Current Rutgers Student enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies with experience in the biomedical science field.
