Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Working in the bustling Student Centre, you will be the first point of contact for our students, providing high-quality, timely advice that supports and enriches their experience throughout their academic journey. In this role, you will also hold a key portfolio responsibility for examinations, contributing to the smooth delivery of exam-related processes.
No two days will be the same. One day you may be advising a prospective student on degree options, the next ensuring fees are processed correctly, responding to exam-related enquiries, or assisting a student who has completed their studies and is preparing to graduate. You will need energy, adaptability, and strong multi-tasking skills, alongside a commitment to delivering consistently excellent customer service.
You will be joining an integrated and diverse team where collaboration is valued. You will be encouraged to provide feedback on current practices and to contribute ideas for improving processes, with a strong focus on innovation and enhancing the overall student experience.

Salary will be in the range of $71,275 - $84,695 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Ideally, you will have experience in the tertiary sector, whether by studying or working, along with the ability to investigate, analyse and make recommendations on a variety of processes and have experience working with financial processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in delivering high-quality customer service within a complex organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the University.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex information and processes while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- You remain calm, organised, and effective in fast-paced and time-critical environments, confidently managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- You will be flexible, adaptable, and confident in your ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement.
