Salary/Pay Range: $49,732 - $56,951 annually.

Summary
The Student Employment Advisor supports the Student Employment Office within the Office of Financial Aid & Student Employment. The primary responsibility of this position is to support and maintain all functions of the administration and coordination of student employment programs, which includes federal and state work study as well as student hourly under the supervision of the Director- Student Employment.
Essential Functions
(60%) Operations and customer service: Front line customer service and office management, Student employee hiring/orientation, Assist with and support SEAN job postings, updates, and system maintenance, Student/staff payroll/leave reporting, and payroll data entry, HCM/Cherwell data entry, auditing, and approval, Assist with facilitation of events, trainings, processes, etc., Assist with the student employment reconciliation process, Assist in program maintenance for work study, student hourly, human resources, and operational processes, Special project support.
(15%) Communication & Collaboration: Advise on resources that are available, Respond and authorize student employees' responses to all email communications, Acts as an advocate and liaison between students and UCCS and other outside agencies, Handle customer service related to questions, Collaborate with the other staff, Program responsibility will include responding to student emails, Staff tabling events, Facilitate semesterly job fairs, Conduct trainings each semester, Collaborate and confer with other campus offices.
(15%) Leadership/Supervision: Be a resource for the customer service student assistants, Hire, supervise, train, and collaborate with student employees, Assist with/provide supervision and mentorship of 4-6 student employees (2-3 FTE).
(10%) Administrative Tasks: Review and update policies and procedures documents as needed, Support monthly off-campus billing process.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must have experience in student employment, human resources and/or financial aid
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Experience working in PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft SIS, GradLeaders, or other similar systems is preferred.
