- Assist in designing and implementing curriculums
- Research and develop lesson plans when needed
- Assesses student learning Analyzes assessment results and provides feedback and support to enhance student learning
Minimum Education Enrolled as an undergraduate student at Alcorn State University with a GPA of 2.8 or higher
Minimum Experience Working with young students
Licenses/Certifications N/A
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must be able to work on Saturday mornings
Knowledge of STEM disciplines
Knowledge of instructional methods, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
Knowledge of hands-on, inquiry-based learning approaches that engage students in STEM activities
Strong teaching and facilitation skills
Effective communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal
Skilled in developing and delivering engaging STEM lessons and activities
Skilled in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment
Skilled in suing educational technology, presentation, software, and STEM-related environment
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore STEM subjects
Ability to foster critical thinking problem-solving, and collaboration among students
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to changing classroom needs
Ability to maintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality for weekend programming
