Position Details:
Indiana State University's Cunningham Memorial Library seeks a Student Success Librarian to join our Research and Engagement team. This role is central to developing and promoting instruction and engagement services that advance our commitment to student success. Your work will empower researchers at all levels to become information literate, confident, self-directed lifelong learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Information Literacy: Lead and participate in designing, delivering, and assessing information literacy instruction. Explore innovative teaching methods and technologies and collaborate to develop sustainable online learning tools.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Build partnerships across campus, integrate library resources into curriculum and student support initiatives, and develop co-curricular and extra-curricular programming across student populations.
  • Access and Discoverability: Provide research assistance, promote equitable access, assist with collection development, and contribute to professional scholarship and/ or service.

Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a master's degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent and experience providing research and/or instructional support.

Job Summary:
The Student Success Librarian will work collaboratively with colleagues in Research and Instruction to develop and promote a growing libraries instruction and engagement program that is committed to furthering the Cunningham Memorial Library's commitment to student success. As a member of the Research and Instruction team, the Student Success Librarian will play a vital role in helping the library develop flexible instruction and engagement programming for a range of audiences and in a range of environments, including both in-person and online. The Student Success Librarian will work on a variety of instruction projects, including teaching information literacy classes for undergraduate students, leading and developing workshops on digital, AI, and information literacy topics, and engaging in assessment projects related to Indiana State's undergraduate population. The Student Success Librarian will also collaborate on projects related to student flourishing and success across campus, including developing instruction and engagement programming for first-year, first-generation, international, and transfer students with campus partners.
