About the opportunity

The University of Canberra is seeking two motivated, reliable and student-focused Student Support Advisors to join the Ngunnawal Centre to play a key part in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their academic journey, helping them build confidence, independence and success in their chosen disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and community stakeholders.
• Represent the Ngunnawal Centre at University and community events, including Open Day, Career Expos and outreach activities.
• Support Indigenous student engagement, retention and academic success.
• Engage with students through a variety of channels, including face-to-face, phone, email and social media.
• Coordinate and promote opportunities such as scholarships, awards and support services.
• Contribute to a welcoming, culturally safe and supportive environment for students.
