Discipline: Teaching mathematics in secondary school 

Functions:   teaching, research, community service and educational direction

Requirement:

• Hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) in education with a specialization in secondary school mathematics teaching or a doctorate in a relevant related field with a specialization deemed relevant to the position label;
• An application for a doctorate in the process of being obtained may be considered.

Experience :

• The candidate must have completed higher education activities relevant to the position;
• The candidate must have carried out sustained and relevant research activities in the field of the position, demonstrated by publications, communications or the receipt of grants from funding bodies or research grants.

Others  :

• Demonstration of the ability to innovate, cooperate, exchange, work in a team and engage in projects related to the teaching task;
• Have knowledge of the Quebec school environment, its reforms, mathematics teaching programs in Quebec and current directions for teacher training and professional development of teachers;
• Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is considered an asset.
