SUMMER 2026 Student Employee - Dining Services
Key Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including special dietary options for students with restrictions. Ensure that meals are nutritious and appealing.
- Food Service: Serve food to students and staff, maintaining portion control and presentation standards. Assist students with food selection and tray carrying as needed.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized. This includes washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring that cooking equipment is in good condition.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels of food and supplies, and assist in ordering new stock as required.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety and hygiene protocols, to ensure that all food served is safe to eat.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, handling cash transactions if required and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Training Assistance: May assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
