Plan 20%

• Develop a syllabus and daily lesson plans for instruction in the specified topic.
• Compile a list of supplies for the camp and coordinate procurement with the Office of Campus and Special Events.
• Prepare special instructions/needs for camp attendees.
• Familiarize with and prepare facilities for safe and effective use.

Instruct 70%

• Lead campers in instructional activities.
• Maintain an appropriate environment:
  • Safe
  • Positive
  • Enriching
  • Fun
• Keep a structured, on-time schedule.
• Ensure site cleanliness by guiding campers through daily routines and cleanup tasks.

Communication 10%

• Inform the Summer Camp Director, Camp Counselors, and Campus Nurse of needs and issues.
• Interact with parents/guardians regarding instructions and special needs.
• Share information, as needed, with campus offices (Campus and Special Events, Campus Safety, Dining Services, Campus Operations, etc.).
• Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines.

• Bachelor's Degree in the STEM field or education.
• At least one year of experience instructing in an educational setting.
