What will you be doing in this role?
As a Supervisor of Food Services, you will plan and lead all aspects of the activities and personnel of the food service operations. Your primary responsibilities include supervising food production and service; ensuring that food served is nutritious and appealing, supervises staff, review and update policies and procedures, implement and maintain quality and cost control procedures; and maintain professional proficiency and skills required for professional practice.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma/Ged - Required
- Associate/College Degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management or related field - Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree - Nutrition, Food Service Management or related field - Preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)- Preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) years of Food and Nutrition Service Experience required (Healthcare food service experience is highly desirable)
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in Nutrition and Food Service Experience (Healthcare food service experience is highly desirable)
- Knowledge of food trends with a focus on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Knowledge and experience with therapeutic diet preparation.
- Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable health and safety standards.
- Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels.
