Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 pa inclusive of London allowance

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. Based in central London with a global reach, we develop the people and ideas that shape the world. The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) is integral to LSE’s capacity to realise our strategic direction through engaging with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, organisations, and the wider community to increase philanthropic income for agreed School priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of LSE’s ambitious Shaping the World Campaign, which aims to raise £750m and secure 300,000 volunteering hours by 2030

We are seeking an experienced events and stewardship professional to join PAGE as Supporter Relations Manager – Honorary & Emeritus Liaison on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will be responsible for planning and delivering events (including a special project to design and deliver a prestigious new Honorary Awards event planned for Spring 2027), maintaining momentum on key stewardship and engagement programmes for – and building positive and productive relationships with – these distinguished groups, as their point of contact with the School. The postholder will build on existing success and work collaboratively with the Team to ensure our supporters and friends enjoy a first-class experience in their partnership with LSE.

What You Will Bring To The Role

Candidates should demonstrate experience of working in exceptional donor relations and cultivation and stewardship event planning and delivery, in the Higher Education, not-for-profit, or comparable sector and ideally within a major capital Campaign context; evidence of excellent communication skills and attention to detail; excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to organise their own workload.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience project managing and delivering high-profile events involving institutional leadership and external VIPs
  • Experience delivering stewardship and awareness of the importance of excellent Donor Relations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across complex organisational structures, including with high profile external supporters (and/or working with their Teams/representatives)
  • Experience working in a large complex organisation

It’s not essential but we’d love it if you also had:

  • Experience delivering honorary graduation ceremonies/associated events

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
