About the Team:
This position is at VU English (VUE), Victoria University's English language centre. VUE delivers a range of English language programs (EAP, General English, Study Tours) to international students that are designed to help improve their language and academic skills so they can transition into a VU university course.
About the Role:
This role reports to Manager, VU English, and will be primarily based on VU City Tower campus.
Position Key Duties
Delivering high-quality education to students from a range of linguistic backgrounds.
Delivering onsite with the possibility of remote delivery if the centre requires it.
Contribute to the development of learning and assessment resources.
Monitor, evaluate and assess student English language progression and successful course completion
Salary: sessional teaching rate is $98.34 per hour and sessional non-teaching rate is $63.29 per hour

Hours: 8-20 per week
Location: City Tower Campus
About You:
A Bachelor’s Degree
An approved TESOL qualification (CELTA/ Graduate Diploma or Master in Education: TESOL)
Demonstrated knowledge/experience of teaching EAP and/or General English.
A flexible approach to teaching that utilises effective teaching methodologies
A current Working with Children Check or VIT registration
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with required upskill units: TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A OR TAEASS502B- Design and Develop Assessment Tools TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A-Address Adult LLN Skills Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
