Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Analyst is a key member of the Maricopa Community Colleges District Office Strategic Staffing team, supporting recruitment, selection, hiring, and position management efforts for the District Office. This role partners with hiring managers to provide guidance throughout the recruitment process and support consistent, fair, and effective staffing practices.
This opportunity offers a blend of technical and analytical work, including analyzing recruitment data and trends, conducting research, supporting position management activities, and recommending enhancements to recruitment strategies, practices, and procedures. The position also supports recruitment and hiring processes while helping ensure compliance with MCCCD policies, best practices, and applicable state and federal laws.
Through collaboration, consultation, and responsive staffing support, this position helps attract and retain well-qualified talent who contribute to MCCCD's mission and support student success.
Essential Functions
70% - Works in partnership and builds relationships with various MCCCD departments, hiring managers, and all levels of staff and Executives throughout the full-cycle recruitment, selection, and hiring processes:
- Maintains the applicant tracking system and works with candidates through the pre-hire and hiring processes, including conducting pay placement analysis and job offers.
- Creates and maintains position and candidate profiles, timelines, interview and assessment methods, ensures equitable candidate screening, actively sources candidates, and assists hiring teams in applying equitable principles and practices.
- Meets and advises District Office leaders on recruitment options in accordance with MCCCD policy, procedures, and practice.
- Conducts research and analysis to independently advise on recruitment, selection, hiring, personnel actions, and employee movements.
- Strives for process improvement by defining and documenting workforce needs and strategies to achieve equity and fair recruitment practices.
- High-level attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Promotes diversity within MCCCD culture by championing recruitment, selection, and hiring policy, procedures, and practices.
- Desires to create and present impactful and engaging recruitment, selection, and hiring training.
20% - Communicates and applies employment policies and procedures, state and federal employment rules and regulations:
- Reviews and verifies HR documents for accuracy and compliance with federal and state guidelines and District policy.
- Advises and works with hiring managers on internal employee movements.
- Clearly, concisely, and professionally communicates via email, phone, virtual conferencing, and/or in person to applicants, hiring managers, and staff.
10% - Performs reporting and data analysis:
- Understands the importance of accurate and timely record-keeping and documentation of discussions.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality and details for accuracy.
- Prepares and analyzes recruitment, selection, and hiring data for process improvement opportunities.
- Conducts trainings as needed and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of work experience performing talent acquisition, staffing, or recruitment responsibilities.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience as described above, sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of progressively responsible experience managing 20+ consecutive full-cycle recruitments and metric reporting experience.
- Professional working experience in partnering with Executive leadership and various levels of managers and supervisors on recruiting, selection, and hiring processes.
- Demonstrated skill in working effectively under pressure, ability to be agile and flexible with multiple deadlines, and changing priorities for a large organization (with more than 1,000 employees).
- Professional knowledge, understanding, and application of ATS and OR HRIS systems.
- Self-motivated team player with high-level attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- One year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two years.
