Shape the future of talent attraction at one of the world’s leading universities.

The University of Manchester is building a modern, inclusive and data-led Talent Attraction function, and we are looking for a Talent Attraction Manager to help deliver this exciting transformation.

Working as part of our Talent Attraction Centre of Expertise, you will lead the operational delivery of recruitment campaigns across the University, ensuring roles are filled efficiently, fairly and in line with best practice.

You will manage a small team, partner with hiring managers and senior stakeholders, and help strengthen our ability to attract high-calibre and diverse talent locally, nationally and globally.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in recruitment, talent attraction, or resourcing leadership who enjoys improving processes, working with stakeholders and delivering high-quality recruitment outcomes.

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of recruitment campaigns across an assigned portfolio of roles
  • Manage and support a small Talent Attraction team, ensuring workloads and priorities are effectively coordinated
  • Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, design recruitment campaigns and provide best practice advice
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, direct outreach and targeted attraction strategies
  • Use recruitment metrics and reporting to monitor performance and improve recruitment outcomes
  • Support employer branding, recruitment marketing and talent attraction projects
  • Promote a positive candidate experience through clear communication and professional engagement

What we’re looking for

  • Experience managing recruitment or talent attraction activity in a busy operational environment
  • Experience line managing recruitment teams
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practice and inclusive hiring approaches
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise and influence hiring managers
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously

Why join us?

At Manchester, we are committed to attracting exceptional people who will help deliver our vision “From Manchester for the World.”

You’ll be joining a team that is modernising how we attract and recruit talent, playing a key role in building the workforce that will shape the University’s research, teaching and global impact.

What you will get in return:

  • Fantastic market leading pension scheme
  • Excellent employee health and wellbeing services including an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Exceptional starting annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays
  • Additional paid closure over the Christmas period
  • Local and national discounts at a range of major retailers

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
